About Bitesy

Bitesy is the newest range from Pet Nutrition House Ltd., a family-owned pet food company founded in Malta in 2001 by a pet nutritionist. What began as a small Maltese business feeding local dogs and cats is today the only Maltese company specialising in pet food sold in more than 85 countries. Bitesy itself is already exported to Sicily, mainland Europe, Greece and the Middle East, and the list keeps growing.

Developed by our teams, made to our standards.

Every Bitesy recipe is formulated by our international teams as well as our team at the head office in Malta, and produced to our specifications under European food-safety standards, with full batch traceability from ingredients to the code printed on the pack. Our own facility, inaugurated in 2022, gives us the research, testing and quality-control base behind the range.

Formulated by people who do this for a living.

Our research and development team has spent two decades creating complete diets for dogs and cats at every stage of life, including hypoallergenic mono-protein recipes and specialised formulas for kittens, puppies, sterilised and indoor cats. The same team develops private-label products for retailers and brands in other countries, which keeps us close to what pet owners actually need in different markets.

Mediterranean by nature.

Malta sits at the centre of the Mediterranean, and it shows in the bowl: fresh seabream, seabass and swordfish, tuna and herring, carob, parsley and turmeric are ingredients we choose because they are the best available in the region, not because they make a good story.

Nothing hidden.

The Bitesy promise is transparency. The full composition, analytical constituents and additives of every recipe are printed on the pack and published on this website, so you can read exactly what your pet is eating and show it to your vet.

Our mission, in the words of our founder, is to make the world a better place one paw print at a time.
